Galle

When you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, collect your luggage and go through the exit, your personal Passion Tours Guide will take you to a luxurious and comfortable vehicle. On the way to Galle, the Madu River boat safari will be your first stop on this 10 day Highlight Tour of Sri Lanka. After an interesting and exciting safari through the lagoons and mangroves, check in for the night at the Amari Hotel in Galle.

Yala

Galle is the most beautiful city on the south coast and has a rich history with several colonial influences – the Portuguese and the Dutch are the best known. The Dutch fort is certainly the most famous sight in Galle and the adjacent district offers numerous restaurants, cafes, souvenir boutiques, ice cream parlors and churches to discover.

On your way to Yala National Park you will visit the dream beaches on the south coast and the picturesque Matara Underground Temple. Your overnight stay on the edge of the National Park is the Cinnamon Wild Yale.

Ella

On next early morning you will explore the wildlife in Sri Lanka by going on a jeep safari in Yala National Park. Afterwards it goes to the highlands to Ella, on the way the imposing Rawana Waterfalls awaits you, the picturesque Nine Arche Bridge and the view over the beautiful Ella Gap canyon. Upon reaching, you will check-in to the luxurious 98 Acres Resort and Spa for the night.

Nuwara Eliya

In the morning, simply enjoy the view of the landscape and the sunrise of Little Adams Peak. Then you will proceed to the train station in Ella to take your train journey through the highlands in Sri Lanka to Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya). Sit back, relax and enjoy one of the most breathtaking landscapes on this planet earth!

Arrived in Nuwara Eliya discover on a walk the Gregory Lake, “Little England” with his colonial buildings and the fruit market. Heritance Tea Factory is the hotel we have selected for your accommodation in Nuwara Eliya.

Kandy

On Day 5 of this Highlight Tour in Sri Lanka, you will visit the beautiful Ramboda waterfalls, Glenloch Tea Factory and tea plantations. In the evening you will attending the ceremony in the tooth temple of Kandy and can obtaining the blessings from the monks. We will then take you to Cinnamon Citadel for your overnight stay in Kandy.

Sigiriya / Dambulla / Polonnaruwa

In the morning you will visit Sri Lanka’s largest and most impressive Botanical Royal Garden. The botanical is renowned for their beautiful flowers, trees and orchids in particular.

En route leads you to famous and colorful Matale Hindu Temple and you can take a stop at Sri Lanka’s largest vegetable and fruit market. Upon reaching Habarana you will check in to Cinnamon Lodge for the next three nights. At the evening you can walk around the Kandalama Lake in beautiful nature until sunset.

On day 7 during your climb, you will see the beautiful cloud girl frescoes painted in the rocks and a lion gate as the entrance to the palace. Once at the top, you will see the ruins of the palace as well as a breathtaking view of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. Also visit the World Heritage Dambulla Cave Temple, which was built from ancient times. Here you can discover more historical remnants.

On day 8 we will take you to the Ancient and World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa. Large stupas and temples with numerous Buddha figures, as well as parks, gardens and palaces are waiting to be discovered in the extensive complex.

Anuradhapura

Explore Anuradhapura, the most important pilgrimage site in the country today. For more than a thousand years, Anuradhapura was the center of many Sinhala royal dynasties. After significant excavations of palaces, monasteries and monuments, it is once again an important center in Sri Lanka. In Anuradhapura, you will sleep over at Avasta Resort & Spa.

Transfer to Airport/Hotel
